Overview

The Urban Growth Center is Development Data Lab’s research platform for comparable data on ~10,000 cities, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.

What I Did

I led the design and development of the platform’s data infrastructure, building end-to-end geospatial data pipelines in Postgres/PostGIS. I’m also the sole owner and developer of the Svelte and TypeScript front end.

Highlights

  • Comparable city-level data for ~10,000 cities
  • End-to-end geospatial pipelines in Postgres/PostGIS
  • Svelte and TypeScript front end, built and maintained solo
